TL;DR
Codex's computer use functionality is amazing - if you haven't tried it out before I highly recommend giving it a go. It can be a bit slow at times but otherwise unlocks a lot of capabilities that agents struggled with before.
However, its not the perfect implementation.
What I really want is some form of a "parallel universe" for my computer, something that is running all the apps I'm running, logged in with the correct auth state, has access to everything that I have access to out of the box, and then let my agents interact with that instead of using my computer directly.
Way too often do I find myself accidentally throwing off my agent because I jump back into another app that it was attempting to interact with, e.g. my browser, Slack, etc!
Someone needs to build this!
