OpenAI Enters the Agentic Knowledge Management Space

OpenAI had their annual Dev Day conference yesterday, they announced quite a few new features and capabilities, most notably their entry into both the "personal always on agent" market (offering Dots, which works a bit like Grok Bot, Poke, Instinct, OpenClaw, Hermes, etc), and also their entry into what I'm starting to call the "Agentic Knowledge Management" space with their product aptly called Space.
I wouldn't recommend bailing out on Notion, Obsidian, Capacities, or whatever knowledge management solution you're using right now - however this new product offers a lot of the familiar capabilities as those products all while offering a baked in agentic experience (and also tightly integrated with your Dot agent as well).
Folks in the Personal Knowledge Management arena have been talking about how to adopt agents into their system for well over a couple years now - it's exciting to see OpenAI lean in and offer a solution out of the box that will allow more casual users to get a feel for these experiences without needing to set up some amalgamation of different tools and workflows held together by duct tape and hope.
